“Let the public know about us” #jpstart

Workshop @ Saatchi Gallery. February 2016.

Students created a walking, interactive gallery space where members of the public could get involved with the work the had been created.

On the day students were split into two groups. One group of students designed the space for the artwork. The second produced the work to inhabit the space itself.

At school, students enjoyed a day with Ella Medley-Whitfield where they explored the theme of Interaction and Games. 45 students took over the art department and surrounding spaces to create some exciting games for members of the public.

Finale @ Gillett Square, North London. 2016.

Students enjoyed a day in Gillett Square where they encouraged members of the public to play their games. Students created:, Photo Booths, Giant Jenga, SPLASH! the water fight, a new game called: ZITCH!. We had obstacle courses and a play on the famous Snakes and Laddders.

Teachers and artists from Saatchi Gallery were so impressed with their hard work and enthusiasm.
